Cypress Semiconductor makes ‘final’ offer for memory chip maker Issi – Santa Cruz Sentinel

SAN JOSE >> Cypress Semiconductor has ended a two-month bidding war for Silicon Valley memory chip company Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. with a final offer that’s lower than its rival’s. The offer came late Wednesday and was for $22.60 a share or about $752 million. Uphill Investment — a Chinese investor consortium — is bidding $23 a share, or $765 million.
